Hello there,

I totally don't want to abuse your time, but I'm really clueless now. I start to suspect that there is something very wrong with our phpbb. The situation did indeed got worse after I uninstalled another mod, and now also the signup page has lost the text...

issues with the signup page

I already tried uninstalling and re-installing, but things kept getting worse and I ended up editing the templates manually to fix it.

Any help help would be highly appreciated - I'm considering trying to reinstall phpbb and I would avoid it if possible...

Thanks,

Andrea

It looks like you are using a different template. Try switching back to Prosilver and see if the problems occur still. If not, then the problem is with your template.

I switched to Prosilver and the situation did improve, but only slightly:

It looks like the language file did not get uploaded. Please verify that all files got uploaded properly.

Do you mean language\en\mods\lang_phpbb_openid.php
-> http://tabbles.net/forum/language/en/mo ... openid.php

It is there... :(

Did all of the edits get made? Particularly the one in the includes/sessions.php file? (file name might be a little off, I'm going from memory here. :))

No!
:O

Actually none of the .php files (/includes/constants.php, /includes/functions_user.php, /includes/session.php, /includes/acp/acp_users.php, /includes/acp/info/acp_users.php) was edited by the installer... I did the editing myself (manually) and the board stopped working - so I reverted to the default files (yes, it has been a real nightmare... could be I did something wrong here).

But the question is: how can it be that the installer did deliberately skip editing all the php files? It did edit the html and css files correctly, but in the output of Automod there was no trace of php editing... is there anything I forgot to set? I believe I have the latest Automod too.

(omg...I'm thinking of throwing away the whole /forum folder and re-upload a clean phpbb install. I know this is beyond the purpose of this forum...)

:O

What version of AutoMOD are you using?

Hey there!
I have missed your last post and indeed the solution was right there!

I was using an outdated version ouf Automod, or Automod was simply not installed properly. I realized this by making a phpbb clean install, uploading the latest Automod files on top and then I immediately realized that the "upload mod" button was not on my board.

I hope this can help someone in the future.

Your mod works like a charm now, http:\\tabbles.net - thanks a bunch again!
